How It Works
Every commission begins with a conversation — about your space, your aesthetic, and how you live. You share inspiration photos; we listen before we design. A rendering follows, then a detailed quote, then we get to work.
Browse popular starting pointsWe prepare renderings and a price quote covering materials, cost, and timeline. A 60 % deposit secures your place in the build schedule and we purchase your wood — selected specifically for your piece.
Read the full processYour table is handcrafted in our Londonderry studio, one piece at a time. We send photographs throughout — wood selection, joinery, finish application — so the build feels as personal as the result. Your client portal shows live progress.
How we buildWe deliver personally throughout New England. We carry the piece in, set it in place, and ensure you are completely satisfied before we leave. Balance is due on completion — and we remain available long after. This is a relationship, not a transaction.

I believe we've become too comfortable filling our homes with things designed to be replaced. Every tree has a story written in its grain — I build tables that let people experience that beauty every day, and keep it in their family long after I'm gone.
Every table is an opportunity to transform a remarkable tree into the centerpiece of a family's home.
Why
Because what you gather around matters as much as who you gather with

One table at a time, built by hand, from wood chosen for your room

I was looking for a custom black walnut epoxy river table and was not getting good responsiveness or collaboration with other companies I found. I came across New England Table Company (not New England Farm Table -- a totally unrelated company with not-so-great reviews). I called and Ron answered immediately. We went back and forth a few times with ideas and designs, arriving at a great final design. The price was very reasonable. Ron sent me pictures while he was at the wood supplier and I picked the exact boards to be used. We changed the hardware a bit at his suggestion after having seen the wood. The project was completed ahead of schedule and we could not be more pleased with the table, with Ron's craftsmanship, with the design process, and with the customer service. I would recommend New England Table Co to my closest friends.
Ronald took our idea and made it real. The craftsmanship and finished product absolutely blew us away. He kept us informed and sent pictures during the build process; only adding to our excitement…
100% recommend Ron, his work is out of this world. He is very organized, efficient, very details oriented and has great communication skills. I asked him to build us a kitchen table and oh boy did he…
Working with Ron has been an absolute pleasure. From design to delivery, he exceeded our expectations at every turn. These tables are beautiful works of art that we will cherish for years (and…

Guides, ideas, and craft stories — for those who care about the piece as much as the process.
Some of my best lessons in design, hospitality, and attention to detail haven’t come from a woodworking shop — they’ve come from a lifetime of travel. Here’s how the world’s finest spaces shape every table I build.

Walnut, oak, cherry, maple — each species has a character of its own. Here’s how to choose.
Creativity runs in my family. My grandfather, Henry Lohse, discovered watercolor painting later in life and taught me that art begins with patience and observation. Today, I bring that same devotion to my craft—transforming raw hardwood into tables that reflect the quiet beauty he once captured on paper.
